Morocco beat Scotland: Saibari makes history
On 19 June 2026 the Atlas Lions claimed their first win of the tournament: 1-0 against Scotland in Foxborough near Boston. After just 71 seconds Ismael Saibari put Morocco ahead, set up by Brahim Diaz. At that moment it was the fastest goal of the World Cup 2026 and Morocco's fastest ever World Cup strike.
With four points from two games, after the 1-1 draw against Brazil, the Atlas Lions lead Group C and a place in the knockout stage is all but certain. All the more reason to wrap yourself in the red with the green star.
