Nothing makes a World Cup shirt as personal as your own name and number on the back. Printing is easy to arrange, but there are a few things to know, from the rules around official player names to the care. Here is the complete guide.
How do you get a football shirt printed?
First choose your shirt and the right size, then give us the name and number you want. The print is heat-pressed into the shirt and is machine-wash resistant, so it will not simply peel off. Keep the name short and easy to read: very long names are printed smaller so they fit neatly across the back.
Can you have an official player name printed?
Your own name, or your child's, is always possible. Official player names and numbers from the current World Cup squads we cannot print, due to licensing rules. That may sound like a limitation, but it actually makes your shirt more personal: your name on the back is unique, and no one else has it.
Can you return a printed shirt?
A print is made especially for you, so a personalised shirt is usually outside the normal right of withdrawal. Choose your name, number and size carefully, and if in doubt measure first with the size guide. You will find the exact terms in our returns policy.
How to keep the print looking good for years
The print lasts longest if you wash the shirt cool (30°C), inside out and without fabric softener, then let it air dry instead of using the tumble dryer. The full care advice is in our guide washing a football shirt with printing.
